2001 Gibson Master Model Sold!
Signed by Charlie Derrington June 29th 2001! Excellent older Master
Model that has been played in! Its a bluegrasser, fingerboard
extension professionaly removed and nice binding work!! It has a
headstock scroll repair, not very noticeable from the front! A few
scratches and dings, but you know, Gibson charges more for this stuff!!!
A great sounding mandolin, Waverly tuners, Varnish finish and it

1980 Gibson F-5L Fern Sold!
Formally owned and used by Wayne Benson! Wayne recorded Third
Tyme Out's, "Grandpa's Mandolin" with this one! Excellent sounding
Gibson, re-graduated years ago by Bob Shue. Lots of playing wear, but
lots of tone!

Gibson F-5 Lloyd Loar Copy Sold!
This mandolin was built in the late 70's or early 80's by well known Va.
luthier Vern Bryant. Vern borrowed a 1924 Loar during the complete
building of this mandolin, the result is a extremely close copy of the
Loar. It has The Gibson inlay, as well as the tailpiece cover, this one
even has Gibson labels with a Loar signature. Very Loar like woods
were chosen, orginally built in Lacquer, which was common in the day it
was built. A couple of years ago it was taken to Master Luthier Gail
Hester, she completely refinished it in varnish as well as a complete
setup. It is a very Loar like tone much like the Paganonis I have owned.
Plays great, strong mandolin, comes in a handmade by John Paganoni
Loar case!

piece), sides and neck. It has a custom hand cut Mother of Pearl
signature "S" and Rose inlay! The width of the neck at the nut is 1 1/8".

2009 Ellis A-5 Deluxe Sold!
New, just in from Tom Ellis of Austin TX. I was not at all surprised by
the amazing fit, finish and overall workmanship that came with this
mandolin. I have played several Ellis and they are in my opinion
second to none. I was however stunned by the sound that is already
there, straight out of the box, it already sounds old, not tight at all,
radiused board, Red Spruce top, one piece back, top notch mandolin
from Tom Ellis !! I really think the A's from Tom are a great ideal ,and
offers more affordability in a tough economy right now!!

1993 Flatiron F-5 Sold!!
This is one of my favorite models during the Montana circa of Flatirons.
This one is labeled F-5, its not a Festival, Performer, or Artist, it differs
from the rest of the Flatirons of this era by being Tone Bar braced, not
X-braced which were more common. Its is a great playing and sounding
mandolin! This one has a big voice, loud! Very good condition, in a
great looking Chocolate finish. Highly flame back and sides, it shows
very little wear. All original including the shaped HSC.
